Boomerangs

Boomerangs are used to stun or kill enemies from a distance, and collect distant items. They are one of the only weapons that Link can throw diagonally.

Boomerangs will pick up any item that was dropped by an enemy due to its ItemDropSet settings, or (if the Boomerang/Hookshot Collects All Items quest rule is set), all items. If the New Boomerang/Hookshot rule is set, the item will be dragged to Link by the boomerang - otherwise, it will instantly be collected by Link when they collide.

Breaks all the rules of previous boomerangs and is incredibly powerful. Anything that a previous boomerang can stun, it not only stuns but deal 2 damage points to. Anything that a previous boomerang could not stun, it can stun. It can even stun enemies like Darknuts (if not thrown at the front), Peahats, or Bubbles. If the item is given a damaging sparkle sprite, the sparkles themselves can hurt enemies for 1/2 damage point. This item originated in BS Zelda.
