A Hookshot is an item which allows Link to cross gaps by shooting a chain and grappling onto a hookshot grab combo. Its chain can kill weaker enemies and stun certain others. Link is invincible while using the Hookshot, negating any damage from enemies or combos. Hookshot grab combos are often represented by a pole graphic, and may require particular combos to designate a gap that Link can cross with it but not without. The Hookshot can stun enemies that normally cannot be stunned by a wooden or magic boomerang, such as Darknuts, Wizzrobes, and Pols Voices. In 2.10, the handle damages Peahats, Darknuts, Wizzrobes, and Pols Voices. In 2.5, however, the chain merely stuns them if the flag 'No Handle Damage' is checked.
