Leevers are both specific enemies included by default and an enemy type selectable in the Enemy Editor.

The Enemy

Exotic sand creature that comes out of the ground for brief periods. There are three types, red, blue, and black.

Like Red Leevers, Black Leevers poke out of the ground two combos to the direction that Link is facing and come toward Link. Only two will be up at a time. However, they are extremely fast and re-emerge at random instead of re-emerging immediately after submerging. This is a new enemy in Zelda Classic 2.5.

Enemy Properties

  • Emerge Style:
Link's Path: This enemy emerges from the ground along Link's path. When this enemy submerges, one Leever enemy on the screen re-emerges to take its place.
In Place: This enemy emerges from the ground where it submerges.
Link's Path + Second: This enemy emerges from the ground along Link's path. When this enemy submerges, there is a 3/4 chance that this enemy and a second Leever enemy on the screen re-emerge to take its place.
  • Submerged CSet: The CSet used by the Leever when submerged.
  • Emerging Step: If Emerge Style is In Place, the speed of the enemy as it emerges from the ground, in hundredths of a pixel per second.
