Stalfos are skeletons with swords that roam around aimlessly trying to run into Link. They are weaker dungeon enemies, but in the Second Quest, they throw swords that deal a damage of 2 hearts, making them much more dangerous. In the official Fourth Quest, the L2 variety uses CSet 7 instead of CSet 8 to distinguish it from the L1 variety.

A new enemy in Zelda Classic. It is three times as strong as the L2 Stalfos, twice as fast, and throws 4 swords simultaneously. It is the fourth most powerful enemy in Zelda Classic, just below the Mirror Wizzrobe, the Magic Octorok, and the Death Knight. In the official Fourth Quest, there is a different L3 Stalfos, which is slower, has higher HP, deals less damage, and only throws one sword at a time.
