"Direct Warp" is a property that can be assigned to a combo. A direct warp combo works like a stair combo, sending the player to a different screen, but the character appears in the exact same position/coordinates on the new screen.
Direct warps are categorized as Tile Warps.
In earlier versions of Zelda Classic, the term "Pit" was used to refer to what are now called Direct Warps.
