Item Drop Set Editor
Located in [Quest -> Misc Data -> Item Drop Sets], this area of ZQuest determines what will drop from NPCs and Tall Grass combos. It is possible to edit built-in drop sets, and to add new ones from scratch.
The Item Drop Set Editor is essentially operative on chance. When opening it, it will display a list of Item Drop Sets. Each of these is capable of being used by an NPC to determine what it will drop when it is defeated. It is generally devoid of useful features, though there isn't much that it actually needs to do to do its job.
Name: The name of the Item Drop Set. Give it a descriptive name so you can easily tell it apart from the others when viewing it from the Enemy Editor or the Item Drop Set selection screen preceding the editing phase.
Nothing Chance: The number in this box will be used as a portion of the measurement of the chance that nothing will drop when the NPC is dispatched. Its use will be explained below in "Description of the Chances" below. This is not a percentage value.
Page 1 & Page 2: There are two tabs, each containing five opportunities for an item to be dropped. There are ten items total which can be dropped.
Chance: The number in this box will be used as a portion of the measurement of the chance that the item will drop when the NPC is dispatched. Its use will be explained below in "Description of the Chances" below. This is not a percentage value..
Item: The actual item which will have a chance to be dropped by the NPC upon being dispatched. Note again that there are ten of these, not five. There is a second tab you can select located between the Nothing Chance and the Items to select. "Page 1" "Page 2"
Explanation of the Chance System
The chance of each item is a positive integer, which sets the fractional chance of the item being dropped (the percent chance equals the item chance divided by the total number of chances). As of later builds, the Drop Set Editor will tell you the percent chance of each item to so you don't have to guess.
